Just bought this car a week ago and trying to decide if i want to keep it. If I do i may try out a boutique oil for winter just for fun. The thing holds less than 4 quarts so a gallon of Amsoil isn't horribly expensive.

How did it taste?

I don't need to ask, I already know it was delish....gooey green goodness....like Guacamole for old carbureted V8s.

If you don't like Guacamole, then maybe imagine green jello

'16 Audi A3 1.8L, ~11,500 miles. Purchased from friend last month; its 1st DIY fluid renewal.

EA888 Gen III on its third oil change based upon supplied maintenance records.

out: Castrol Edge 5W-40, OE filter
in: ~5.5 quarts Castrol Edge 5W-40, Mann+Hummel HU6013z filter

Only $22.48+ for 5 quarts with 'free' delivery from WM.
Looks to be a stout oil with its A40, LL-01 and 502 ratings. Curiously only MB's dated 229.3 certification, though.

Very maintenance-friendly with its modular assembly techniques and whatnot.
Unusual (to me) original plastic drain plug, replaced with new. Previous changes via dealership extractions afaik.

First BP/Castrol oil change since helping a friend with his 1st gen Scirocco back in the '80s...
