I have a scan tool and want to know the temp range the ATF in my ‘07 GX needs to be in order for me to check fullness.
I had heard there had been an update in the temps.

By scan tool, you mean an OBDII reader?

Well, maybe I should have said "no".

It's not an OBDII reader. I use my Blue Driver for that stuff.

Blue Driver is an OBDII plug in (reader)

I know. My Scan Tool is something different. I have to program it to read ATF temps in my different cars. Pretty cool.

You sure you aren't talking about coolant temp. That's really high for ATF temp.

Can't speak for a Toyota but on our Fusion, "normal" operating temperature (up to full temp) is in the 190° F range.

Not sure about Toyota but on GM transaxles without dipsticks check temperatures are in the 180F degree range. They want the trans temperatures up to drive moisture out of the unit

I needed the temp to check the ATF level on my GX470 A750F. I finally found it in a Lexus service bulletin dated March 4, 2009. It needs to be between 97-115 F.
