I have a 2017 Discovery TD6 that requires spec STJLR.03.5005 oil. It's the same engine that's in the F150. Could I just use F150 diesel oil? The specific JLR spec is hard to find. Does the ACEA-1 spec include the STJLR.03.5005 spec? I think it does but would really like to know I can find whatever oil I need locally and not have to ship it from far off.

Thank you so much for the reply and information. Any idea where I can find a list of oils that meet those requirements? I've been reading all day and it appears Fords API FA-4 requirement would work well too but trying to search amazon, walmart, and autozone are all leaving me empty. I'd just like to know which oils I can chose from to try and get an order placed and something on the way to Houston. I'm currently out of the country for work and need to change it when I get back.

If so....use Mobil1 ESP 5w30....ACEA C3....its C2 with HTHS of 3.5 minimum

i think that's the tricky part that the engines require > 3.5 or 3.2, can't remember.

STJLR.03.5005 and the Ford Spec align with ACEA C1 - Low(est) SAPS and HTHS > 2.9, SAE 5w-30

ACEA C2 does not exceed this spec however ACEA C2 formulations can be approved. ACEA C2 allows for higher SA and HTHS so not all ACEA C2 oils will meet the requirements. If it's under warranty, be sure to use an approve oil.
