2018 KIA Sportage LX AWD, 2.4L (17,855 miles)

I've completed my series of early oil changes and will now go ~5K.

OUT: VAFS 5W30 - BOSS Filter
IN: EDGE 5W30 - PH9688

What was the color of oil going out? I guess your VAFS was in there for a short period

I'd have to look back, but I was coming close to a year, if I recall correctly. I've cut my driving down significantly. I'd wager I didn't get much past the severe service interval. I honestly could have likely left it there for another year.

Hi SlavaB,

Yeah, only 1.5K. It was a dark amber.
 
I really don't know how that would go down. It irks me because Napa has either Mobil 1, Castrol or Valvoline euro spec oil on sale every month, so I don't know why we don't just keep some on hand. We don't work on many euro vehicles, so we wouldn't have to keep a lot. It's odd because otherwise my boss is pretty particular about oem correct fluids.

It's crazy that this thread has close to 70 million views. Whoever said all oil is the same needs to check this forum out.

Out - Penzoil Platnium 5W30 - Nappa silver oil filter (6000 km)
In - Valvoline Synthetic Blend 5W30 (Red Bottle) - Nappa silver oil filter (6000km)

All done on the 04 Corolla.
 
2019 Hyundai Santa Fe AWD 2.4L

OCI: â€4,237‬ miles
Out: Valvoline 5w-30 AFS, Fram XG9688
In: Valvoline 5w-30 AFS, Fram XG9688

No oil used / added over OCI.

Will submit UOA sample to Blackstone next week.

In: Harvest King 10W-30 Full Synthetic, Bosch 3422 filter, plan to run for 10k
