Okay if you say so. Amsoil isn't saying that, but if you think it then that's fine.

I never said it would cause a problem but you speculated it may have changed formula due to a standard change, I was merely pointing out that it doesn't claim to meet any standards.

One would think that if it met a standard they would say so as they do with some of their other products. Some of those on the list are not standards or specs but are approvals, and it is easy to look them up and find that the oil is not approved. But again it isn't a problem because Amsoil is not claiming it is.

Can someone explain why Moly is common in oils designed for gas engines, but not for diesel's???
 
As an arm chair oil changer myself
I would think that moly would benefit a diesel maybe even more so than a gasser. Personally I've always preferred an oil with a good amount of moly
