Hard to beat on price. Costco is also pretty low. But check with local tire dealer. Some will match pricing.

Problem with Walmart is if the tech is properly trained and supervised.

Costco seems to only carry the premium level tires so if someone wants lowest tier they usually don't have them

THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^CostCo has expensive tires at decent prices. But no Copper, or other 2nd tier tires. Not to mention hours long wait for rotations in major cities at certain locations.

I went to walmart once for a tire install. i blew a tire from a pothole and needed a new one put on immediately (i had full unmounted spares). All the local places were booked. Walmart doesnt do appointments- first come fire serve, so i showed up right when they opened.

The "tech" took an hour an 45 minutes to mount one tire, i knew right away something was up. When they were done, i got in my car and the TPMS light was on..

So two days later, i go back and they fix it witg a new TPMS sensor.

The next day, i get a low air pressure light. I put my air in it and notice a slow air leak around the valve stem.

I go back again and they replace it with another size TPMS. All in all it was about 7 hours of my time for one tire to be changed.

Despise Walmart. Since I love over-sized tires, I got another reason to avoid them.

I bought a set of Dunlops at Walmart for a great price in 2017. They were balanced well and performed just fine. No complaints!

Douglas 15's on my Toyota pickup, and door jamb says 14's. It's got Ford Mustang 15 inch wheels.

They never said a word about not installing them. That was about 2.5 years ago, so things may have changed by now.

I've had two sets of tires installed at Walmart. Some Douglas tires on a beater I was selling and some General Altimax. No issues what so ever. Had to special order the Generals, but they called as soon as they came in and got them on the same day. No complaints.

Yes, very often.

They don't install on wrong size, and they don't install thin profile tire like 40 (at least a few years ago), but whatever they install they do it well and hand torque the nuts at the end.

I had a set of 265/70/17 put on my 04 Wrangler this week. Factory was 15 inch. No problems. I live 2 mile from local WM and have been satisfied with the service.

I hope WM has not succeeded mounting 17" tires on 15" wheels. It is easier than the other way around but there is always issue with pressure holding.

I may be testing walmart.com shopping with their installation soon. I post as soon as I bite the bullet and replace my tires :)

Walmart sells pretty good tires. My favorite are BF Goodrich though. I have had good years and rubicons put on them. I also have a. BF Goodrich that is on there. The other three tires have already been replaced. The BF Goodrich has lasted me 60,000 miles and 13 years with no wires or lumbs or even broken belts.

Just thought I would share my recent experience. I ordered the tires from their website last Sat and for whatever reason they were not available for "ship to store" but were available for "ship to home" I ordered them and received them this past Wed and hauled them (along with my wheels) to my local Wal-Mart this morning. They mounted them for free but I did have to pay $10 a wheel for balancing.
Very happy with the service and price paid. When I bought the tires just last weekend they were $65 each and today the same tires are $90 each, still $20 cheaper then Tire rack.

Local Facebook marketplace for $100. They are off the same car that I own 19 Corolla hatchback. Some kid thinks his own Corolla Hatch is a racecar and sold me his stock wheels/tires. I took the stock tires off the wheels and sold them for $200 so I made $100 off the wheel purchase and they even have the factory TPMS sensors.
