i have a few that are leaking . good name brands like milton. seeing how cheap new ones are , is it even worth it to rebuild them?

It's not.as the seals are not the only failure/wear point, The steel balls can also fall out....And usually will shortly after rebuilding them.

What happened to Milton? The last ones I bought was the "high flow" QC fittings, made in USA, with coupler. Now I can't find them in any stores. They are carrying brands I've never heard of....

Milton V (high flow) are cheap and available online. Taiwan made now, but higher quality than that PRC junk you see at the local big box store.

I run all GuardAir High Flow in my garage shop, but that is pricey stuff. When I moved the smaller compressor to my hobby workshop, I went with all Milton V there.
