Q: what's your guys go to oil for frozen bolts? 3 in 1 or WD40 have been mine over the years. Is there anything out there that is a rockstar when it comes to "creeping"???
I swear by PB Blaster.
Regardless of what I use, though, my standard practice-if I have time and can get to it-is to start hitting the fastener with the stuff daily a couple of days before the repair. Assuming the car isn't disabled, I'll even spray it down and go out for a drive. Both the heat cycling and the vibration/normal car motion(depending on where exactly it is) seem to help a lot with getting lubricant worked into the fastener so that it will come off somewhat more easily.
