This stuff smells soooooo good!! Hard to describe, but I like it!!

This is my second OCI on this stuff. Mixed in 2 quarts of 0w30 because this will carry me into winter. Added 4oz of Archoil 9100 as well.

OLM is at 10%, which is 6884 miles. I'm sitting EXACTLY at 19,000 miles on the odometer. I left the RP oil filter on.... That thing can easily handle a second go around.

Next time, I'll send a sample to Blackstone.

I'm personally fond of the smell of freshly popped popcorn..any chance it smells like that?🤔

They say they have API SN on the 5W-30 http://renewablelube.com/files/3714/9366/4758/Bio-SynXtra_HP_SAE_5W30_PCMO.pdf

Edit: Here is the page with all the TDS http://renewablelube.com/products/engine-oils/

Dr. Haas runs this in his Ferrari Enzo. It's plenty good for my pickup truck

I see they claim meeting Dexos spec yet they don't appear on the Dexos list.

No combination of company or product name I searched on the API EOLCS Directory of Licensees showed anything for this oil. As far as I can see it is not API licensed. The labeling and grade designation is also incorrect for API licensed oil.

Maybe you can find it on the EOLCS directory under some other name or brand, I could not.

Why is everyone so hung up on the API license/certification?

I run a very high-end lab in the semi-conductor industry and believe me.....certs and licenses are nice to have (and most of the time mandatory in order to do business with large companies) but they don't really have much real world value.

The cost for a small boutique oil company like RLI to obtain such a license is IMPOSSIBLY high. That's why "they" (Big Oil) created such a thing....to keep guys like RLI at bay because most people won't buy or carry the product without the license. It's just part of the "you gotta pay to play" mentality of big business.
