Since it's the weekend I can't really bother the techies at work. I have noticed that some programs are apparently startup items although they are not enabled as startup items either in those programs' settings or in Task Manager. In Revo Uninstaller's AutoRun Manager I see that the startup items in question are enabled. It looks like just by having REVO Uninstaller installed, REVO's default startup items override whatever is enabled or disabled in the program itself or in the Task Manager. Is this correct?

The registry, Task Scheduler, and the Startup folders all contain entries. I'm sure some of those programs start up others. Various services can also have prerequisites (but I don't know if that causes startups).

Why are you asking?

You want to know why I am asking whether or not it is normal that REVO's AutoRun Manager is apparently overriding the other startup item settings? I am asking because I was hoping for confirmation or disproof that this was expected behavior. I did find out today.
