Off of a friends 2019 Honda Accord. Had 4,000 miles on factory fill. Put a FU 7317 and some M1 EP 0W20 in and on.

No the A01 filters have been discontinued a while now.

Indeed. The last Honda FF I pulled off a 15 Accord still used the Filtech A01. That even though very few dealers had or used them at the time. This the first Honda FF I've seen posted using the A02. Perhaps they have switched A02 now, as noted first time I'm aware of it.

Looks like it got the job done for 4k.

It's been at least six months, maybe a year now that the A01 has not been available through the usual online dealers. You can still find some leftover ones here and there.

Looks good! Thank you for the cut and post

I always like to see factory filters cut open

Interesting that Honda is using the same A02/PH7317 from the factory. I know that some mfrs use a different filter from the factory than what they have at the dealer (Ford, for example)

No biggie. Quick lubes need to learn how to tighten plastic housing instead of shattering them. I see enough damage due to quick lube places

Even better, Honda uses only one oil filter for all their cars

spin-ons are back with the new Camry/RAV4 and the Lexus UX. They are switching over to a new engine platform as well, and some might be going back to spin-ons.

Its simply a FRAM in a blue Can now...

Very Sad. honda had to cut costs on oil filter.

Oh well it could be worse.

I am still looking for a OEM Filter replacement. This is a my first Honda, and from what research I have done, I have read the

Purolator PL14610 PurolatorONE is a good filter? I do not plan on doing any extended OCI's just follow the car's oil change interval.

Any other recommendations that are not Royal Purple or filters that cost so much? Thank you.
