Oil to fix a tune up problem? Come on.

Adjust the valves. The EJ251/253 has roller rockers and jam nut adjusters.
With the work listed, a valve adjustment is to be done.
If a garage did the work, take it back. They missed something.
Buy the way these engines can use a 5w30/ 10w40 mix. I have used 1 qt 10w40 Mobil Clean and the rest 5w30 or, alternatively:
Rotella Triple Protect 10W30 with 1 qt being 5w30 Formula Shell . All dino. All not sold anymore. This Engine is easy on oil But It's bore stroke is like a heavy breathing 302 Chevy. 4 x 3" Same size pistons. Quite the motor. But wearing slipper you get some cocking around the deads and the 40 grade mix in helps.
