If you buy six of the FPS3600, they are $26.49 for six with free shipping or $4.49 a filter on eBay.

I put a new one on my Crosstrek at around 200 miles. Didn't change oil. Just the filter. On newer subarus you just open the hood and change the oil filter..no muss, no fuss.

Say what you will about the Fram orange cans, but the Ultra is one of the best filters made, period, and for the money, it's probably THE best.

You can get a better filter (although not by much), but you're paying at least double for it.
