Anti-Foaming / Anti-Aeration Additives

I'd like to get a discussion going on the types of anti-foaming and anti-aeration additives that are used in modern oils. Which ones are used for common API certified oils and which ones are reserved for more demanding use such as racing oils? I'm noticing more and more oils showing less silicon (polymethylsiloxane) so if that's not the anti-foaming agent, what is?
 
Group 4 PAO oil and some group 5 esters are naturally harder to foam up compared to group 3 and less oils. More and more oils are using a blend of group 3, 4 and 5 base oils, so less anti-foaming additives are used. There are also acrylate copolymers.

Some are using alkyl acrylate polymers which speed up air release faster in colder temps than do the dimethyl siloxanes.

Some may use both.

I have a lot of time on my hands. I figure I might as well learn something.

I've heard of offroaders who have crazy pinion angles, and this have the differential filled in a different mater than factory, swear by a bit of ATF in the gear oil to stop it from foaming.
