Has anyone tried the Chilton online manuals for newer-model cars? I see they have vehicle-specific annual repair guides for about $30/year. Does anyone know if those manuals also specify the correct fluid types etc?

I now have 6 vehicles in the family and I get really tired of "Searching The Net" for tidbits of information. What kinds of manuals (presumably online) are shops and dealers using these days? I presume the cost is more than a DIY guy would want to fork-out...

Thanks

Ray

Alldata is free at my local library.
I have access to every year, make, and model offered.

Maybe you should try your local library before you spend a dime.

Try listing the makes of all your cars. You can usually find various manuals/DVDs on eBay. Mercedes uses a system called WIS and there are people who sell a knock off copy on eBay for $6.60 and that pretty much covers all models for the last 20+ years.
