Zurich Warranties

In brief: My pal bought a Zurich warranty when he bought his 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander GT.

Anybody have any info / experience with Zurich or know of their track record?

NOTE: I wouldn't go near an aftermarket warranty and I'm certain most here wouldn't either. I'd just like to hear ANY input.

Mike Miller (For over 20 yrs has been the go-to guy for BMW maintenance within the BMWCCA community) has plugged Zurich as a good company to use with regards to extended warranties. Unfortunately, when I was looking for pricing, I found out that they only sell coverage through the dealerships.

Online reviews of the company were less than stellar but it's hard to determine the validity of the complaints.

It's a major insurance company that personally I would prefer using vs. the small shyster companies that pester you with spam, junk mail and lousy TV-radio ads..

...In that order, are the only aftermarket warranty companies worth a [censored]. When I worked as a service writer they just approved everything. Zurich would send an inspector from time to time, but only when repairs got BIG.
