You're welcome of course...

Correct a plastic center tube bonded to the metal end caps...

Media looks to have the plastic matrix similar to Boss and other M+H filters, White ADBV is Mann signature if I'm not mistaken...

Interesting filter. I like the look of the white ADV, and weird to have a plastic core, metal end caps and nylon mesh support.
Is the media synthetic (a 2 layer like the Ultra and Boss) or a blend?

The new 1.4T take these.

Yes, 1.4t in MK VI "facelift" and VII.

I will try to get the media apart this weekend...

"Expire date: NONE"

Inreresting filter, and build quality looks top notch. Thanks for the C&P.

LOL, did not notice that.
I would bet it is a full synthetic media then.

I see these are around $11-12 on e-bay/Amazon.
A bit higher priced than a probably equal Fram Ultra, but having an OEM filter of this quality is nice.

Looks like it crosses over to a Fram 3614 size filter. Hmm, that would fit my Scion (once I go through my Carquest Blue, Mobil 1, 2 Bosch D+, and 2 Fram TG filters)

You are correct about it translating to the 3614. But this filter has a 36PSI bypass. That's why I don't run any American filters on my Jetta.

This media appears quite similar to boss media, at least in concept. It is clearly a plastic or nylon mesh VS wire. The media is thick but does not appear as fiberous as I recall the boss being. I did review my old pictures of a PBL too. It does appear to be multi layer, though they are well fused together.

I do like the build quality and have no problem using these on the Jetta.

Wow, that is a high bypass. Guess that is not something I would use on my Scion (although I doubt it ever goes into bypass).

German efficiency, expiry date NONE. You don't need to know anything else on the box just if it is too old to use. We take care of the rest based on our reputation, so you don't need to do more worrying about this and that.

The valve is probably high temp nitrile.
