This filter was off my aunt's friends 2017 Ford Explorer. I put this filter and some QSAD 5W20 on 8 months ago. Miles on oil and filter was 6,010. Mostly highway driving with some weekend stop and go driving. 50,980 on odometer. Put some Valvoline synthetic 5w20 and a NAPA GOLD she supplied in and on.

This one looks excellent too! No debris sitting in the oil.

Which leads me to the question. Why do some cut open filters have a ton of debris sitting at the bottom of the oil pool? Cleaned out sludge? Excessive wear metals?

Good chance the orientation of the filter position

Good looking filter that's made by Champion Labs? I wish I had a Parts Plus store near me in addition to AA, AZ and Napa. Last time I bought Parts Plus oil on sale, it was bottled by Amalie.

This filter is made in Korea. Local place that sold these closed 2 months ago. Luckily local Hovis Truck Parts place sells Federated oil filters

Nice to see how well they are made

Yeah, we used them at work for a LONG time without ever any issues. Some that should have been on for 6,500 miles like GM wants us to; went like 12k at times. I didnt post those on here either for obvious reasons

My Kia shop uses this brand for the non Kia/Hyundai vehicles that come in. Very well made. Only time I ever seen one of these filters go bad was when a Suzuki came in for an oil change, and it had the wrong size filter on it for some reason (too small). The top of the filter was inflating into a large dome shape, like it could barely handle the oil pressure lol. I ended up finding the right filter for it.
