So I had to remove my Alpine headunit a while back because the CANBUS adapter was causing a parasitic drain- as well the replacement adapter. Thats OK. The factory headunit does everything I need it to... Almost. I scored a deal on the SSL LoPro8 compact powered subwoofer during Prime Day and looking to install it in my 2011 F150 withOUT sync. Ideally, I'l like to utilize its high level input and tap into the rear speaker line while retaining rear speaker function. Is that possible? Secondary question, is there a good CANBUS adapter which won't cause a parasitic drain in my application (without breaking the bank)?

You can wire it that way (Retaining the rear speaker & send the signals to your high level inputs at your Amp)
Same goes for using a Line Output Converter, In fact using a LOC might be better for sound quality?.....Depends on the quality of the LOC built into the Amp? At $100 for a Sub/Amp/LOC combination.....I wouldn't get my hopes up.
