I've been asking Motorcraft and Rotunda without any success, so I'm hoping some Ford Techs peruse this site or mechanics that work with VCMII and IDS.
I have to reprogram a few modules on Ford's MS-CAN Bus. While SAE J2534-2 has access to MS-CAN, I heard Ford doesn't allow aftermarket hardware to program modules on this bus. I believe VCMII with IDS will do the job. However, I'd like to know if I could use a genuine VCMII with FJDS to program on the MS-CAN bus for a 2017 model Ford. The 2-day license for IDS is $150 while the 2-day license for FJDS is $50.
