Had some of best collard greens with bacon and ham yesterday. 100 year old recipe too. Black eye peas are the best I'd say. Being in North Carolina they know how make them and best cornbread

Still miss the cooking of my Alabama ex WWII Vet stepdad cooking the old recipes.Still get cravings for his collards.

Black eyes did great in the garden this year. I need to try to get in another crop.

Now you’re talking. I season my greens a peas a little differently. I put country cured hog jowls in mine.

Local place I had the bbq chicken dinner gave me their greens and they didnt need any seasoning. Been eating them all this week smile
