Anyone's Walmart have the 10,000 mi Supertech's yet?

I've seen these reviewed on youtube. They have a plastic center cage instead of the metal, and they have 10,000 mi claim on the box.

I'd like to try a few of these but I can't seem to find them.

Think they also have the 99% filter capacity.
The review I saw they have metal end caps now and synthetic blend media

I'm confused. Maybe it's only certain models like the 9688? I'm googling around and I've looked inside the box at my walmart and they still have the metal center tube vs the new plastic cage style.

I have the 10575 Supertech on my 2014 3.5 Ecoboost for 3500 miles so far with Delo XLE 10w-30. So far its the best combo for reduced timing chain rattle on startup. Ill run it till 5,000 and do a cut & post. Hopefully its looks good for a $3 filter.

Who is the OEM for the old and new?

99% at what micron size? That's what counts.

A filter maker could say "99% efficiency *"

* At 100 microns

My box says at 30 microns.
Thread is over a year late.

The vehicles involved are in the junkyard.

That isn't very good.

Sure looks like the AC Delco made by Champ … I find 98% at 25-30 microns in several places … not sure I have seen a range before but pretty average filter.

I've run the 10K Supertech in my wife's Malibu for about 10k (two OCIs). Shocked that the nitrile ADBV was not instituting a cold-start bark by then. GM bypass system negates any review on the Supertech bypass, which does not exist.

Had the Supertech 9688 wore a silicone ADBV, I would have snatched a few of those. Because manufacturers like Fram charge $2 more for their 9688, I would have paid $3.97 instead of $1.97 for a Supertech silicone. The Fram EG 9688 is almost $6. I'm sure it's built for the Kia and Hyundai crowd, that had filter problems early-on this past decade.

For my 5K OCIs in the Hyundai, I'm almost sure the nitrile Supertech 9688 would have worked great. But I refuse to buy any filter these days, that do not wear Silicone Red.

The pictures below indicate the filtration efficiency and particle size.

Efficiency and particle size

99% for particles greater than 30 microns for the ST2 filter.

As I already pointed out a few posts back (for a different size).
