Hey all! I'm looking for a 50 count box of Federal HST 9mm 124gr. Anybody know where I can get the best deal? I've never bought ammo online but figure some of you can point me in the right direction

Great prices on good defensive ammo. Excellent customer service and shipping.
Personally, I buy ammo by the case. For example, 9mm Federal HST 124 grain. 1,000 rounds was about 500, or .50/round. That's less than 1/3 of the local price when bought in 20 round boxes.
That's enough ammo that I can function check it in a couple of guns have have enough to carry, and refresh the carry load periodically. I believe that you should run at least 100 rounds of your chose carry ammo through a gun/magazine combination to verify that it works before you trust your life to that gun/magazine/ammo combination. Change one factor (magazine, or ammo, or gun) and you should do the verification again.

SGAmmo is the first place I look, have bought from them many, many times. There is a reason so many here endorse them.
When I was able to order online, I would use Ammoseek.com to check pricing.

But, nope, got a flat ($10) for purchase price plus tax, no shipping. Surprised me.

Actually there was just a thread here thay pointed out that you needed to put it in your cart, then the price would be correctly shown. Because of that thread, I bought 4 boxes at $20/ea

I frequently do buy from SGA as they are the lowest price. But I have zero loyalty to any of the online sellers. If B has ammo I want for $0.02/round vs A, B gets my business.

When you factor in shipping they are sometimes very slightly more expensive, BUT they ship super fast and package everything very well. My orders have always arrived with the ammo boxes shrink wrapped together and then well packed inside the shipping box. This can be a big plus if your delivery person drops it off and it rains.
Plus they sometimes have hard to get items, and even ammo made to their spec. One example being a Wolf "mil-spec" line of AK ammo, which is made in Russia using good old lacquer coated cases and sealant around the case mouth and primer. Their mil-spec 5.45x39 is the most accurate Russian loading I can find for my AK74.
I'll also add since it was mentioned that Academy is a great local source if you have one nearby.
