Where to start?!

Rover P6 (was our family car in the mid-late 70s)
Citroen DS
Mark 1 Ford Cortina (especially the Lotus Cortina)
Porsche 928 (a purists' nightmare but I still love them)
Opel GT
Fiat 124
Peugeot 504 cabriolet
Triumph Vitesse
Jaguar XJ6 Coupe
Austin/Morris Mini
Opel Firenza
Opel Manta A

I'm sure more will come to me after I leave this post.

I'm rather partial to this one

So many interesting cars mentioned here that it's hard to choose a favorite.
I've always liked the look of the E-type Jag and neighbor's son had one along with an MG TC, but there are so many others that also strike a chord.
How about the Lotus Elan?
Don't think that's been mentioned yet.
One of the tech employees at my high school daily drove one.
This was the car the inspired the original Miata's design years later.

Fiat 125T. These were a homogulation car for production racing in New Zealand, not even the required amount were built, so pretty rare. I used to work for the guy who built and raced them, so we used to get some in at work at the time.

My dad had 125 Special with 1.6 TC, 5 speed, 4 discs, aircon, tinted glass, etc., but no power steering- probably wasn't even an option back then. Cool car.

The Austin from Skyfall ! Only thing wrong with a bond car is they screwed up and some dummy put steering wheel on incorrectly .

I don't remember him driving an Austin? He drove an Aston Martin - the DB5 (the classic Bond car, also used in Goldfinger, Thunderball, Goldeneye, Casino Royale and SPECTRE).

Have a look back to the early days of cars in the USA - plenty of right hand drive variants back then. Henry Ford effectively cemented LHD in the USA through sheer volume. RHD comes with history - coach drivers would sit on the right so that they had their weapon-wielding hand (normally the right hand) free to wield a weapon, without the passenger getting in the way. Motorcycles are all RHD too (the kickstand is set up for mounting on the left, which is the safe side of the bike if you are driving on the left hand side of the road. Horses are right hand drive too. And helicopters.
