So my car doesn't leak any power steering fluid, but it will not hold vacuum. So I need to find the air leak. It's whining and I can't vacuum bleed it. I'm wondering if it is safe to apply --pressure-- to the pump instead of vacuum and look for a leak?

Im sure youve tightened the clamp on the feed hose at the pump right? Ive seen many times where the hose actually gets hard and will not seal around the inlet of the pump. Very common on Audi v6's with the pump in the v.

I'd be weary on applying pressure to the system.
On my 06 Pilot it was two small o-rings on the pump assembly.
No leaks but new fluid would fill with air bubbles in a week or so.
Less than $5.00 and 30 mins to repair.
