Jet is a 60 in a 2003 Derbi Atlantis scooter
It has the piaggio/Vespa et2 2 stroke engine.
I have removed the air restriction in the carb intake

It it really lean or just a bit?
How many jets sizes should I go up?

If anything that looks like it's rich. The mixture screw should only affect idling. Are you doing the test properly? To know how it's running at speed, you would run on the road wide open for a while then abruptly cut the ignition and stop the bike, then check the plug. If you let it idle the plug gets coated over with whatever the idle mixture is.

Generic observation How much HP would be lost by replacing the restricter? Summer time isn't the time to lean out a 2 stroke

Actually, hot, moist air is the *best* time to run a bit lean, as it won't be *as* lean as in cold, dry air. Hence, less chance of ping.

I would mix in the tank for a few tanks and not put any oil in the oil tank. Run a few tanks after the oil tank is empty and see how clean the plug is. That way you make sure its not dosing wrong. I would rather mix it myself than trust the scooter to mix the oil.
