The Giulia is factory filled with Paraflu UP, and appears to be the only coolant meeting Fiat 9.55523. Other than it being an OAT coolant, hardly any data is available that I can find. At $18/L it isn't a cheap fluid, that's for sure.

Anyone have insight on what it may be similar to?

This following links suggests that the Paraflu UP is equivalent to the new MOPAR OAT Coolant MS12106, part 68163848AB. Needs more investigation.

This Petronis data sheet seems to confirm this: http://www.pli-petronas.eu/test/products_list11ac.html?brand=PARAFLU&idLingua=2

And finally, go to page 15 of this product guide and see both MS1206 and 9.555 23 listed for the same product! https://www.dealers-mopar.com/resources/pdf/chemical/chemical-catalog.pdf
" Part No. 68163848AB 9.555 23, MS-12106, MS-90032 "

If only FCA could get their act together with Mopar coolant. Yes, I agree, that the Mopar fluid SHOULD be the same. Due to their convoluted MS numbering system that constantly changes, this hasn't been 100% confirmed.

However, the last post in the 4c link you shared is insightful. It appears as though FCA is issuing two MS numbers; one for premix and one for concentrate.

Talk about confusing.

It is confusing. In my investigations, the MS-90032 spec. was superceded with the current MS-12106 spec. for the 10 year oat coolant. See my final edit above. Their product catalog confirms everything.

The catalog also shows that the new coolant can be either pink or purple now. I know there was earlier confusion about this also. Fiat initially had an orange version of this too!!!!!!

Just did the collant change in the Opel ( did the cambelt too) and used the Paraflu Up. It is a top quality coolant, little expensive though at 10€ per litre.

Haha, so did I.

Your Opel would have had Dexcool when new wouldn't it?

In that case you could very well have used for example any generic G12 or G12+ coolant , which would have been cheaper and probably easier to find.

True but:

This particular Opel have a FPT (Fiat Powertrain) engine--completely unrelated to any GM diesel and I prefer to follow original recommendations.
I never use generic brands of any fluids, and comparable Total OAT was only 2€ cheaper. Total is great but for my own subjective reasons I prefer Paraflu.
With collant I have also changed cambelt kit and removed swirl flaps from the intake manifold - known problem. I'm good for another 5 years of trouble free motoring, hopefully.
