Not necessarily....dexos 1 Gen 2 is a more exhaustive spec and also is more limited in grades.
For example, the 10W30 I am running now cannot be dexos 1 Gen 2 exactly because it is a 10W30.
Not necessarily. There are many SN+ oils that can't meet D1G2 requirements. I believe dino and dino blends have a hard time meeting D1G2 standards even though they may be rated SN+.
