FYI, I found a rebate deal at Pep Boys that includes Valvoline, Pennzoil, Mobil 1, and Castrol brands (synthetics). It ends on June 30, 2019.

https://www.pepboys.com/monthly-oil-deals

Buy a 5 qt. jug (limit 2) and net cost is $15.98 each, after (Pep Boys) $15.00 Visa gift card rebate. Not the deal of the century, but that's the best deal I could find at this time. I bought one for the Hyundai's upcoming OC.

Rebate can be submitted online or by mail.

Wonder if the Mobile 1 $12 rebate on a 5 qt jug will also apply...
https://mobiloil.com/en/promotion/mobil-promotions/mobil-1-rebate-2019

Also, some stores such as Autozone and Oreilly's will price match retailers such as Amazon and Walmart.

I didn't know that. Even online deals? And great idea about the M1 rebate...hmm, that would just about make it free if of course one could "double dip".

After a year of hit or miss rebates, i just cannot purchase because a rebate is offered anymore. I have to get the sale price upfront. I know it works for many BITOGers but I've bowed out.

I use the price per qt of Chevron's Supreme and the Havoline 6qt box as my baseline numbers to determine if a mfgs rebate is worth the (potential) hassle.

Using Walmart prices, the Supreme works out to be approx $2.50qt for a syn blend and $3.30qt for a full syn Havoline ProDS - no rebates necessary. Even Walmart's SuperTech full syn/dino brand is competitively priced year round, no rebates and QS has year round competitive prices on several formulas. With these year round prices I personally don't see a need to pop on every rebate promo. A rebate offer has to be a really good deal for me to bite.

I purchased 2 jugs of Mobil1 in May and submitted both the Pep Boys and the Mobil1 rebates. I have received the check from Mobil1, and Pep Boys rebate status page shows that my rebate has been approved. I don't have that cash in hand yet, but I expect it to show up. Go ahead and submit both rebates. Submit them online and you don't even have to pay for postage, so what do you have to lose but a litle time?
