Interesting Purolator still uses the "assembly string "

Yeah, they still seem to pop up on occasion, but not much. No ideal what the criteria is for getting a string.

You gentlemen are welcome. Dunno if I want to cut the KIA/HYUNDAI app filters aka a Bosch d+3312 and a napa silver 31334

If anyone wants these two filters PM me

I like the pain Job and the Decal color scheme.

This reminds me I owe a C&P on a Honda OEM.

But wife clogged the kitchen sink friday and haven't got that running yet. I tell here no grease but ...The trap is free. Glued Shed40 1-1/2 " pipes - cant get a snake in there.

May have buy a coupling and get the hacksaw out.

How 'bout propane vented down the pipe and a match?

Read my DIY Disaster post. Went and got a fake roto-rooter guy. He said the clog was 25 feet down the pipe past many wyes and elbows.

The Wife dumps the oven broiler pan dripping grease down the sink. No detergent followup even .She wont listen to my reasoning as to not to do that!.
She pays the next plumber visit 100%.

This one I wimped out and paid 1/2.

I found a string in a Fram off my Mazda ~30 years ago. I never saw string in any of the many Purolators from the same car.

The criteria likely has something to do with ease of keeping the media bunched together during assembly. Maybe more likely if the media bundle is long, relative to can diameter?
