Valvoline SAE30 API SB!

Found an unopened can of Valvoline Non-Detergent SAE30 API service SB.

What year would you guys guess this is from? Would you run it? (joking...maybe...)

well, it is a paper can, so not as old as the metal ones. Maybe 70's ? Would I use it? Probably would mix it with some modern oil in my model A. Some people still use nothing but non detergent in their model A's.

70's. I would use it in my oil bath air cleaner.

I'm thinking 1970's or early 1980's as sometime after that the oil suppliers went to plastic bottles. I have a couple of cans of QS SAE 20 that are metal and I do know that they are from the mid 60's which is when I bought them.

Late 70's to early 80's.

Notice it says "not for modern automobile engines"

It's a common oil to use in air compressors, well pump gearboxes, some hydraulic systems, etc.

I would use that in any engine I had that I wanted to fail soon...
