Probably carbon, though some of it is reflections on air bubbles...

The media is drying out so we will see what's in it in a few days...

Am I wrong to think the 24/23/15 ISO code is not all that great at the end of the day??
It's not terrible. But it is not all too good either.. interesting that this filter and the Fram Ultra were the same ISO code...

Thank you for your work and very good pictures. Hope you are having a good weekend.

Thanks for the C&P and info DuckRyder. Does HAMP/ROKI state the efficiency on these filters?

How many miles total on it (I am guessing 196,xxx?)?

interesting looking filter, similar to a Denso made filter, but not quite.

Yes off the Honda. 196,508 when the filter came off.

This filter is essentialy a 6607 sized Honda A01 and you are correct it is quite similar to a Toyota Denso.

You're correct 24/23/15 is not great... it is a bit perplexing that the Ultra and this filter produced the same ISO code.

You're welcome for the pictures of course and it was actually a good weekend too.

They don't. As I said above this filter is a short A01, HAMP is Honda AfterMarket Parts which are Honda service parts in other markets. I picked this filter to compare ISO codes on because it should be among the least efficient filters available.

Read the linked thread and you won't have to assume...

I went back on the link, then followed the other link, until I got to the real link. Hmm, timing belt and oil pump o-ring. I feel so informed now.
PS- that is a real nice oil filter cutter.

I'm glad you were able to figure it out.

PS - thank you.

Was the PC on the same oil & filter but with more miles put on them?

Same oil and filter at the mileage noted on this filter. Note the first UOA was a few hundred earlier.

Also note this I failed to close this Image tag in the original post.

I didn't know Roki had a USA plant. The only one I can find for North America is in Mexico.

Other plants are in Japan (several), Thailand and China.
