Figured I'd post some maintenance criminals I saw at work this week-

2018 Explorer 2.3L EcoBoost went 12,845 miles on factory fill
2017 F-250 6.7L Powerstroke went 14,306 miles on bulk 10W-30 Diesel engine oil
2017 Fusion 1.5L EcoBoost went 7,222 miles on bulk 5W-20 synthetic blend. Check engine light came in with cam solenoid codes; appx 1.5 quarts came out. The 1.5L uses oil pretty quickly.
2012 F-250 6.7L Powerstroke went 59,622 miles on the factory fuel filter (FCI is 15k miles)

We see some crazy stuff in the Ford service department.

In: Napa 5/20, Napa gold filter

16 Malibu
1.5 turbo 4 banger
Out: unknown, acdelco filter
In: Napa syn dexos 5/30, Napa proselect filter

2002 Mustang GT
4.6 V8
Out: Rotella T6
In: Supertech Full Synth 5w20

Giving the thin stuff a try since its no longer burning oil and I've read that these things need full oil flow to the top end ASAP. Despite both being 5w, the 5w20 is a lot thinner out of the bottle than the T6.

I'll drive the thing maybe 5k in a year and change it out then so no need for anything more than Supertech IMO. I swear it's quieter at idle too with the thinner oil, which is the opposite of what I would have expected.

2008 3/4 ton 6.0 liter Chev Suburban with 184,000 miles

Out: QSUD 5w30 with 4,000 miles
In : Motomaster 5w40 ( made by Citgo. )

Fram XG 10060 kept on for 2nd run.

This is the first time I used 5w40 on this vehicle. I bought the 5w40 thinking I'd use it once I hit 200,000 miles on the Burb, but since summer was coming and I might be towing, I decided to go ahead and throw it In. I'll report back if it blows up.
