No. I change the oil of our vehicles in Spring and Fall. None exceeds the 5K miles by then and they could probably go way longer, but doing this I know the oil is always fine and I know when it was changed last.
I'm still trying to figure out why anyone would label a filter rather than making a note somewhere far more accessible if interested in such information.
I record every maintenance item for my cars in a record book. Since I change the oil filter with every 10K OCI I don't need to write anything on the filter.
