I noticed Sam’s Club has $20 off their Duracell (East Penn) made Auto Batteries and maybe other applications through June 1st or so. It is an instant rebate. I think a bigger 65 series Battery would be in the $85 range with a 3 yr warranty.

I don't think the Sam's batteries in Texas are East Penn... I think they are always Johnson Controls

Walmart 65 battery is under $50 all the time, although only one year warranty.

All SAM's Club gone are here.

We were an SC member for a very short period of time when we needed to buy lots of stuff that particular year. So, we got our monies worth at that time.

We bought tires, snowblower, 10' Christmas Tree, electronics, a few watches, food and some HUGE birthday cakes from the bakery. Too much to list. Then we didn't renew our membership and we never went back nor do we miss the experience.

Isn’t Johnson Controls a marketer and East Penn the manufacturer?

Looking at East Penn’s website, they have entered into an exclusive agreement to supply Auto Batteries under the Duracell brand. If they are something other than Duracell branded, they could be made by the company that bought out Johnson Controls.
