I have a collection of various style snap ring tools for rings over 1", but have only one (large) flat tip style plier for the "earless" rings (aka horseshoe rings, constant section rings, Eaton-style rings) . I am looking for good quality pliers that will work with small, external, earless rings that range in size from about 1/4" to 1/2". I don't need Snapon quality or price, but I don't want bargain basement pliers either. The pliers will be used infrequently. I spent half an hour with Mr. Google and did not find what I was looking for.
Pliers like this one from Lisle, but for smaller rings, is what I am looking for. This Lisle tool has a closed tip thickness of 3/32" , which is too much for small rings. A closed tip thickness of less than 1/16" is what I am looking for.
