Sold the Sportster, and the replacement is finally here. After riding my friend's Mega, I decided to get one. 275 Pro Carbon, fitted with DMR V12 magnesium pedals. Can't wait to take it out.

I'd be jealous, but I don't mountain bike anymore.

Then again... it's probably lighter than my road bike. So that'll count. I'm jealous.

Nice ride!

It's about what 1934 Schwinn Circa runs on Ebay

33.2 lbs as it sits.

Down hill, but a DH bike is too much Cadillac for me. On the second thought, I have no real knowledge of what I like, I just call it riding a bicycle.

New to this, I just like it as much as I like the R1 crushing my eyeballs into their sockets.
The helmet was purchased with a quad in mind, but is still pretty light at about 1300 grams.

I felt the same way until I rode the trail up here, the stats kind of tell you why the disk brakes are on these things.

I used to do ski slope down hilling and get some tremendous speed. No disc brakes on my bike but issue was not power as I could lock up brakes fine. Issue was traction or lack of it. Normally couldn't stop going over 50 mph as tires would just slide not enough traction so tire choice is very critical.
Very nice bike.

If you bike on any advanced trails at all in Cameron Park in Waco, you'll wish you had disk brakes REALLY BAD if you don't have them.... and also more traction
