Are you doing another UOA to see if that trend continues?

I'd like to see the inside of that engine, for I suspect all the OCIs have been on the long side.

With me, they haven't - this is the longest I've gone, bc I moved, got busy, and really couldn't do anything.

Thanks for assuming the worst with my maintenance habits - very charitable of you.

I'm afraid I don't have the $$ to do a UOA.

I am; Nothing against running 20wts in general, but I'm not a huge fan of running a 20wt in this engine if it thins out to below a 7.00 cSt @100 after under 4k miles and just 6 months as my last sample with Mobil 1 did. I just sent yesterday's Pennzoil sample off to Blackstone, and if the trend continues, I may bump up to a 30wt next change to better suit my driving conditions.

2005 Mustang GT
135,781 miles
Just under 3k on OCI changed per owner's request even though I mentioned a number of times it could easily go longer. About 9 months in service, though it was stored for the winter.

Out: QSUD 5w-20/Motorcraft FL820S
In: Mobil 1 HM 5w-20 and 1 qt of old Q Torque Power 10w-30/Motorcraft FL820S

2014 Honda Civic LX Sedan (05-19-2019)

Mileage on vehicle- 68,394

OCI - 5 months and 6,970 miles - OLM at 15%

Out - Idemitsu Zepro 0W-20 and Fram XG7317

In - Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20 and Fram XG7317

2012 Infiniti G37x
OCI: 11 months 2500 miles (Plenty of short trips and better to be safe then sourcing a JDM engine)
Out: Mobil1 5w-30 "vanilla" and Proguard filter
In: Mobil1 5w-30 Extended Performance and an M108A filter

No filter change

How is the Rimula treating your Escort? Did you felt any difference on using it alone without the blend of 20W50?

It was running well and smooth but i've been talking to some people like SonofJoe and Gokhan and they think it probably has a lot of VII and a weak additive package which would basically "water down" the good additive package that the Rimula has so i decided to dump it and just put in Rimula R4X with nothing else.

3,097/14 Months on Oil

Out - Mobil1 HM 5w-30
In - SuperTech Syn 5w-30
Left the Motorcraft filter on.

Going to see how this SuperTech stuff works. 4Runner loves it. Verdict is still out on the F150. Engines are quieter and smoother on this oil versus Mobil1.

Was that $14.97 for the six qt box? Can't beat that.

Yes sir... A very good deal... Got another for the next run. A regular Wix 57356 will go on with that..

The car runs very quiet on the Havoline high mileage.
