I wouldn't be so much worried about the oil as I would the fuel ... hope it's had fuel stabilizer in it and the gas has been removed and replaced regularly.
On the other hand, a friend of mine got a 96 Nissan pickup a year and a half ago that had been in storage for 10 years... it had about 42,800 miles on it and the oil was changed prior to storage according to the service records in the glove box and the sticker in the corner of the windshield... don't know about the fuel situation or how they took care of it in storage... truck was clean with normal dings about the body... it had a new battery on it... he filled it up and drove it the 150 or so miles home... it ran smooth, but the ride was rough from the original tires still being on it ! ... I bought it from him, put new tires on and changed the oil and filter... the oil still looked ok... but I was more worried about the oil filter after 10 years... anyway, put in a new air filter and used MMO in the fuel for a solid year... but never an issue, it's always started and run like a new one... Hope this truck will too !
