Found this on a Canadian news site I frequent.

Nothing really new, but interesting about soot being a 'lubricant' until it is encapsulated, then it becomes abrasive.

Thoughts?

2010 Kia Soul 2U - 2.0L I-4, auto; 143k miles.
Castrol GTX HM 5W-30, STP blue bottle; Fram TG 9688.

2009 Pontiac G5 - 2.2 I-4, auto, 121k miles.
Oil/filter TBD

You double posted "Thoughts on this article". However, I'd like to encourage posters to be a bit more explicit with their headings. This one said what it was about. Thoughts on this article could be about anything.

What are you talking about? I posted a link to the article, and asked for discussion about it. Obviously I'm asking for what people think of this study and its conclusions.

I suspect this one might get looks that the original post "Thoughts on this article"-- eleven posts down-- didn't. Your subject heading is better and the other article will probably drop off the stack in a few hours. In the meantime, you might want to read the posts on the original thread.

Nah... It's ok man... Don't worry about it.

Keep on looking for stuff... You cannot ever know what someone else has done or not done.. you are not a mind reader or can know everything at all times
