In meantime your testing of the Puro flat spring bypass design has been referenced and linked several times. It's a good one.

Thanks! Back in the good ol' PureOne days! I never found any actual tears in my cut opens on PureOnes and I discovered one in the basement the other day that fits my motorcycle--tempted to use it for the next OC. Probably going to go with a FRAM Ultra or maybe a Mobil 1, though the crowd here seems to think it is FRAM all the way.

"Yes sir"

^^^^^^^^

Yesterday I installed one made in China in my daughter's MB with 212k miles on it. It looked like a good filter. Maybe Walmart was clearing those Korean filters to bring the China ones in. But she got it at an Auto parts store not Walmart.

When I was in South Korea, everyone there referred to it as "Korea".

Same here …
but I always wondered how many parts made in the north made it here inside of a completed machine …

Have you ever picked up an item at Walmart or Target, that was made in North Korea?
Name me that product please.

People get worked up around these things.
South Korea is major economic power, for a reason. But, people would be surprised from what countries some serious know-how is coming when it comes to OE or spare parts.
On this topic, I think K&N are also made in South Korea.

Yes. I have a rug made in NKorea I purchased at a "Walmart" store in Ghazni.

Now this wasnt a "Walmart" but it had a Walmart sign, so it counts, right?
