The forgotten filter 09 Hyundai

So my new to me 09 Hyundai Tucson was blowing very weak from the vents at all speeds. I looked up the cabin air filter location and here is what I pulled out...

I put in a Fram fresh breeze from walmart and now it really moves air. Also smells much much cleaner.

It's often the forgotten filter.

My friend is persuaded his car doesn't have a filthy filter after two years and refuses to change it before 50k.

Having cars with and a car without, I see the difference in dust inside

Thanks for the pics. Was there any left behind debris inside the housing of the cabin filter?

No debris left behind that I could see.

When visiting relatives in Minnesota, we noticed that there was no air flow at all to the back seat of their Honda minivan. Took out the cabin filter and found a similar mess. You're right, no-one thinks of changing that filter.

At the very least Popsy's friend could dump out the cabin filter and even vacuum out the big bits.

He's taking very good care of the exterior, but interior and everything mechanical...not at all!
