Out: Dex Cool
In: Dex Cool; Self made with Prestone Concentrate and Distilled Water.

I did a "drain" and refill. The car doesn't have a radiator drain, so I used a method where you disconnect a hose called the "purge line". I start the car and as the coolant is draining in a bucket, I refill the surge tank with new coolant. I drained 2 Gallons and refilled with 2 Gallons.

I had a Ford shop foreman replace the camshaft synchronizer in my engine. Being the thermostat was easy to get to while doing this work, I had him replace my thermostat and do a coolant flush and fill.

Part of a water pump replacement. The small bypass/overflow hose broke off on the plastic connector while it was hot the next day, sprayed me with coolant so another 1/4 gallon went in after that. Kicking myself for not noticing the worn part the day before.

1994 Ranger 3.0 2WD auto. Out...unknown dirty green whenever radiator and stat were replaced a few years ago, power flush with garden hose thru stat held open with screwdriver, lower hose removed and thru heater core. In was Supertech pre-mix 3 gals.

Out: mostly water with a little green coolant
In: gallon and a half Starfire universal green, half Gallon water
