I was trying to retract the rear brake caliper on a mazdaspeed 3 and it would not budge. I used
a special two pronged tool and tried to rotate it clockwise to no avail. Do i need to bleed the fluid or
something? Maybe the caliper is frozen...any help is appreciated.

This is only needed on calipers where the parking brake cable connects to the caliper and not a separate system. If the parking brake is a separate little brake drum, you would just push the caliper pistons straight in like with front brakes.

It did not rotate, or it did not move in when you rotated it? Also some rotate counterclockwise.

You may need to push it down while rotating the piston. But sometimes, even that may not work. Rear caliper failure is common.

The good news is that Raybestos makes all-new non-reman calipers for your MS3

They turn in clockwise. Often the aluminum caliper pistons corrode. Try opening the bleeder valves and if the piston turns in then you may have a pinch in the rubber brake line.
