If anyone else has an S8 and is interested in upgrading.

I traded in my backup phone S8 for an s10e

cost was $50 to buy samsung points(10000)

I then enrolled in the upgrade offer than is 4x points for trade in (upto 40000 points so you need 10000)

phone 749 unlocked
-350 trade in (s8 is going for under $200 on open market)
-200 in samsung points (cost $50)

199.99+50 to buy points = s10e for 249+s8

+tax(mine was $27)

cost for s10e with a s7 trade is $150 more than my deal.

if you do decide to do the bonus points offer.. buy the 10k points and wait an hour before you do anything else.. samsungs website is crap.. and wont do the bonus offer for about an hour after buying points.

I was having issue where it would let me apply the 50$ in points but wouldnt do the 4x offer. even after I clicked through their 40000 points upgrade offer link.. it was just their website being slow.. on my phone it was showing 10000 points but would say no points available to redeem.

just waiting an hour fixed all that.
