Bad SIM card?

Quick question for some of you IT folks.

Anyone ever see a bad SIM card make an AirCard/LTE Modem/MiFi connect and reconnect to a cellular network every 15-20 seconds?

Have a new lot of ThinkPad X280s with Fibrocom LTE modems. One problem child kept doing the aforementioned. Went into AT&T Premier and threw a new SIM on the line. Seems good now.

Sometimes the dumbest issues.

I caught a few bad sim tray switches and sim contact at the factory, but not the sim itself, but it is possible.

I have seen SIM's become corrupted so it can happen.

I had one go bad. Out of the blue my phone would not ring when my gal called me. We're up in age and the cells are our only phones so no bueno. After much head scratching the SIM was replaced and all was well again.......go figure.
