Some of my cars call for Toyota T-IV and some Toyota WS.

Schaeffers 205A says it will work in both T-IV and WS transmissions.

Schaeffers 204SAT says it will work in T-IV only. It is "thicker" than the "WS".

Should I just use 205A for simplicity in all my Toyota transmissions or is it better to stick with the
204SAT in the older transmissions that specify T-IV?

I wish I new the actual specs required in all my Lexi and Toyota AT's. I was wondering if Aisin had them somewhere?

Doesn't your owner's manual have a JASO spec for your Aisin?

I would default to #205A if there is no other info.

I'll check.

I've been comparing the 40C and 100C specs among:

Maxlife ATF 29 (40C) and 6 (100C)

Mobil 3309 35 (40C) and 7.2 (100C)

Amsoil ATF 38.5 (40C) and 7.5 (100C)

Amsoil ATF (WS) 30.8 (40C) and 6.3 (100C)

Aisin ATF6 33 (40C) and 7 (100C)

Aisin AFT6 FE (WS) 30 (40C) and 6 (100C)

Schaeffer 204SAT 36 (40C) and 7.4 (100C)

Schaeffer 205A (WS) 31 (40C) and 6 (100C)

Toyota T-IV 34 (40C) and 7.3 (100C)

Toyota WS 23 (40C) and 5.5 (100C)

Yeah, I haven't had a lot to do after church today....LOL

Still looking for the non-synthetic Aisins specs.

Done for now.

Agree with the 205A for the later model, that's what I will be using in the 4Runner. Not sure about the earlier model but the 204SAT sounds right (without doing much research)
