It's Easter, and I'm not going anywhere but local on Friday and Monday, rain on Sunday, so Saturday is my ride day. It needs to be back roads, and I take the backest of back roads. Klondyke Rd runs out to Port Waikato, where the Waikato River meets the see, it is a back road in the hills, high above the main road which is next to the river.

Hmm, captions don't show, anyway, I went from Port Waikato to Te Akau Wharf, the north side of Raglan Harbour. 200km and a 4 hr ride.
These are from earlier days....Klondyke Rd about 10 years ago. The coast road about 2006, and on the beach even further south. No motorcycle access to the beach anymore...I wonder why ? The yellow line heading west and then south is the route I took today.

Thanks for the photos. You live in a beautiful area to ride in. Nice bike too, from here it looks like you've been busy with mods and it looks like an R80GS. I have an 87 K75s.
It's a 1987 R65, I set it up specifically for gravel roads, so it's a GRS - gravel road special.
