To me, this kind of stuff is way worse than the class action suit against Amalie for still selling API SA oil. Not even having a certification and claiming you do is worse than selling something that's obsolete; as there may be valid buyers for obsolete oils. There is no valid market for something that claims to be certified and never was.

I agree. At least for the informed, we know what to look for (seal, donut), but when the product has these indicators but still doesn't meet the standard, that's scary. When i see this, i want to stick to known brands.
