This happened a few days ago but still important to post for the aviation and WW2 buffs. The last of the Doolittle's Raiders.

One of the greatest missions ever. I have watched Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo numerous times and never get tired of it.

The Japanese leadership was shocked that the Americans were able to attack the homeland so soon after Pearl Harbor. Very little real physical damage was done but psychologically Doolittle's raid was a huge success. RIP Mr Cole.
